Sunday, June 29th
7:00 pm (be seated by 6:50)
Marriott Center at BYU
The featured speaker will be former First Lady, Laura Bush. One of the most beloved and admired American First Ladies, for decades Laura Bush has championed key issues in the fields of education, health care and human rights. She is the author of the bestselling memoir, Spoken from the Heart. Joining her will be the world-renowned 23rd United States Army Band. Mrs. Bush will speak on "God, Family, Freedom and Country."
There is no charge for this event! Seats are first come, first serve.
This event will not be broadcast, here is the reason they are unable to do so:
"I am sorry to report that this patriotic service is limited to the Marriott Center. I realize this is a very unfortunate situation for many who are unable to attend.
"The contract we were required to sign with the Washington Speakers' Bureau in order to engage Mrs. Bush required several stipulations:
"We are unable to broadcast Mrs. Bush's speech via any media.
"We are unable to permit the local media from recording more than the first three minutes of Mrs. Bush's speech (which they can use for B-roll footage on the evening news).
"We can record Mrs. Bush's speech to have a file-copy, but we are unable to re-broadcast her speech for any reason.
"Again, I am sorry for this inconvenience; I hope that as many as possible will be able to attend the event in the Marriott Center."
